At Florida Hospital Flagler, we understand how stressful a visit to the emergency room can be. That's why we now guarantee that you’ll receive immediate access to care within five minutes of walking through our Emergency Department doors.
As the sole provider of emergency services for Flagler County, we offer patients the highest quality of care utilizing the latest equipment and therapies available. Cardiac monitoring in the main Emergency Department is equipped with the ability to provide immediate electrocardiograms. For quicker results, cardiac tests can be performed bedside, instead of transporting samples to the lab, while a computerized medication-dispensing machine ensures that the right patient is provided with the appropriate medication.
Although technology is critical, the expertise of medical personnel is just as important. Our licensed nursing staff is required to have current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), as well as education and training on equipment and procedures utilized in the Emergency Department.
Florida Hospital Flagler has 28 Emergency Department beds to accommodate our patients’ needs including pediatrics, cardiac, OB/GYN, respiratory, and orthopedics. In addition, we have two dedicated critical care rooms and an additional 26 monitored rooms. Click here to watch a video about Florida Hospital Flagler's new Fast Track unit in the ER.
