We have been incredibly blessed in both our Florida Hospital Ormond Memorial and Florida Hospital Flagler operations. During the past six years Flagler County has been one of the fastest growing counties in the nation. Florida Hospital Flagler has evolved from being a small campus that operated as an extension of Florida Hospital Ormond Memorial into a strong, stand-alone community hospital that is positioned to meet the current and future healthcare needs of all the citizens of Flagler County, and in a matter of months, we will be opening the single largest investment ever made by Adventist Health Systems in one community; the Florida Hospital Ormond Memorial replacement facility.
“The increased complexity that comes with a growing organization has led to the decision to create a dedicated administrative team for the Florida Hospital Flagler campus,” said Michael Schultz, Board Chairman, Florida Hospital Memorial System. “We believe this will allow us to better serve the community, staff, and physicians at each of our facilities.”
Adventist Health System expects to name a new CEO for Florida Hospital Ormond Memorial/Oceanside within the next 60 days. David Ottati, the current administrator of Florida Hospital Flagler has been named CEO of our Flagler County facility. Both campuses will continue to work closely together and both David Ottati and the Ormond Memorial/Oceanside CEO will report directly to the current board of directors Chairman, which provides oversight of the operations for Florida Hospital Ormond Memorial /Oceanside and Florida Hospital Flagler.
Plans for this transition are underway and will be complete by June 1, 2008. This change will prepare each of our campuses to better serve our communities and to better face the opportunities and challenges that await us.
