Florida Hospital Flagler

Gives Nearly 100 FREE EKGs!

On Sunday, April 6 from Noon – 4PM and Sunday, April 13 from Noon – 2PM, Florida Hospital Flagler gave nearly 100 FREE EKGs to members of the Flagler County community.

“We give free EKGs to the community each year, but we had such an overwhelming response this year that we had to offer the EKGs on two separate days in order to accommodate everyone,” said David Ottati, Florida Hospital Flagler CEO.

Florida Hospital invited the Flagler & Volusia County communities to a free cardiac screening in an attempt to thwart cardiac emergencies. It’s proven that early detection can saves lives, and when it comes to complete cardiac care, no one is closer to your heart than Florida Hospital with five convenient locations.

Florida Hospital offered free Resting EKGs on Sunday, April 6 at Florida Hospital Flagler, Florida Hospital Ormond Memorial, Florida Hospital DeLand, and Florida Hospital Fish Memorial.  And had an overwhelming response; together nearly 400 free EKGs were given to the Volusia and Flagler County community.

Florida Hospital is more than just the area’s largest network for cardiac care – we’re the community’s partner in cardiac health. That’s why each of our five local campuses offer resources that can help keep the community informed of the issues affecting heart health. From risk assessment and nutritional counseling, to wellness centers and on-going education, we can help our patients make the changes that can greatly reduce their chance of heart disease.

Bethany DeVore, Palm Coast resident, receives her free EKG at Florida Hospital Flagler on Sunday, April 13.  “It’s fast and painless,” Bethany said.  “And best of all Florida Hospital Flagler did them for free today!  Too bad everything in life can’t be that easy.”
