Ellie Lenkevich is a Chief Nursing Executive with progressive administrative and management experience, strong leadership skills and a comprehensive background in healthcare services.
Most recently working for Mercy Memorial Hospital System (MMHS) in Monroe, Michigan where she made an incredible impact on MMHS over the past 23 years while experiencing tremendous personal growth.
In 1988, she started at MMHS as a monitor tech in the ICU. She received her nursing degree in 1994 and Bachelor’s Degree in 2003. Ellie’s nursing career at MMHS included Director of Nursing Resources and Logistics, Director of ICU, Director of ICU and ER, and Executive Director of Specialty Care Services. In 2008, she was promoted to Chief Nursing Officer and in 2010 she assumed the additional responsibilities for the hospital ancillary departments as the Senior Vice President of Clinical Services while completing her Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration at Siena Heights University.
Under her leadership the hospital system achieved an outstanding Joint Commission survey, excelled at clinical core measures, implemented seven Keystone Quality initiatives, improved patient satisfaction scores, reduced RN turnover from 17.6% to 2.9%, played a key role in the $13 million financial turnaround, and operationalized the new ER, surgical services and inpatient rooms.
Ellie was married last year at the Hammock Beach resort and is excited to have relocated to Palm Coast where her husband Tom will join her in the fall. She has 3 daughters; Lindsey, Jessica and Kelsie, a step-daughter, Kelly and a granddaughter Ryleigh.
