Florida Hospital Flagler presents a Prostate Cancer Awareness Event Sunday, September 18 from 2 – 5 p.m.
The Facts:
- Prostate cancer is the most common type of cancer found in American men, other than skin cancer.
- One man in 6 will get prostate cancer during his lifetime.
- More than 2 million men in the United States who have had prostate cancer at some point are still alive today.
- Prevention, Education and Screening are key in battling this common disease.
Florida Hospital Flagler invites the Flagler County community out for an education, fun, interactive event to learn more about Prostate Cancer.
Join us on the campus of Florida Hospital Flagler for a car show, tours of the building include the Cancer Resource Library and state-of-the-art PET/CT scanner, healthy cooking demonstrations, try out your hand at the da Vinci Robotic Surgery system, American Cancer Society information, Cancer Rehab interactive display, and a physician panel at 4 p.m.
The physician panel will include Dr. Alavaro Alvarez (Radiation Oncology), Dr. Philip Ndum (Medical Oncology) and Dr. Terry Regan (Urology).
